Course Schedule Maker guide

Course Schedule Maker

Build a course schedule from real codes, sections, meeting times, rooms, instructors, credit hours, and multiple sessions.

Start with the course you will actually register for

Enter a real course code such as CS101, its title, section number, credit hours, and any prerequisites you need to remember. A useful schedule is built from sections, not empty coloured boxes.

Keep lectures, labs, and discussions together

One course can contain several meetings. Keep a MWF lecture, a Thursday lab, and a Friday discussion colour-linked while preserving each meeting’s own room and instructor.

Check the clash before you register

The weekly grid flags overlapping meetings while you plan. Both blocks turn red and the warning names the two courses; the tool never silently reshuffles your choices.

Export a copy that survives outside the browser

Print a light landscape page, save a PNG or browser PDF, or import an .ics file into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. The calendar file is a one-time import, not live sync.

Why this does not import your registrar account

A course schedule maker should not ask for a student password. Copy the public meeting details from your registrar or syllabus instead. This keeps the tool useful across universities and keeps private login credentials out of a third-party service.

Credit hours and prerequisites belong beside the time

Two classes can fit on the clock and still be a bad plan if you lack a prerequisite or overload your term. Store those notes with the course so the printable schedule remains useful when you review the plan later.

Make a primary plan and a backup plan

Duplicate the key details in a second browser schedule or shared snapshot before registration. When a section fills, you can compare the backup without rebuilding every lab, discussion, and room from scratch.
